Thiamin, vitamin B1, belongs to the group of water soluble vitamins. Its molecule contains pyrimidine and thiazole cycle. This vitamin may be partly produced by gut microflora, but these amounts are insufficient. Therefore, the necessary amount of this vitamin is received through diet.
