Vitamin C, (ascorbic acid)

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a white, water-soluble crystalline substance with strong reducing properties and is an important antioxidant in the human body. Interestingly, ascorbic acid is a vitamin only for humans and a few other primates, as other mammals are capable of its biosynthesis.

Vitamin C contributes to maintaining normal functions within the immune system during and after intense physical exercise. Furthermore, it contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. Vitamin C also contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, normal psychological function and to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C further contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E and increases iron absorption.

Vitamin C is a natural compound of Mana Powder and Mana Drink ingredients. Moreover, we add extra vitamin C (ascorbic acid) as an ingredient.'Daily consumption of 5 servings of Mana Powder or Mana Drink provides an 100 mg and 80 mg intake of vitamin C, respectively.
